In June 2018 global maintenance leader Quant announced the acquisition of Sataservice Oy, a leading industrial maintenance provider in Western and Southern Finland with a strong presence in the growing and stable food and beverage segment. The Finnish competition authority has approved the acquisition which was completed on 1 August 2018.
The acquisition of Sataservice was conditional on an approval from the Finnish competition authority, which was granted on 18 July 2018. Sataservice, with more than 400 employees and more than 14 customer sites, is part of Quant Finland and Baltics under the leadership of former Sataservice CEO Thomas Luther.
The combination brings value to both customers and employees as Sataservice’s agile and customer focused cluster business strategy benefits from Quant’s scalable business model and digital offering, creating the place to be for maintenance professionals and delivering operational excellence to customers. Sataservice’s strong market position in many industries, especially the stable food and beverage segment, brings expertise and reference sites into the group that can be leveraged to drive further growth of the combined company.
– As a modern operator Quant wants to challenge traditional ways of working. Long-term benefits to business operations are possible by realizing the full potential of maintenance and our goal is to work with customers to develop a mutually beneficial long-term cooperation. Together, Quant and Sataservice can provide our customers with increasingly sophisticated solutions and added value, says Thomas Luther, Managing Director, Quant Finland and Baltics.
